TE III: Post 2- Students:

I have the opportunity to work with five students ranging from Kindergarten to a Senior in high school.  Each student brings something new to our interactions and meetings and helps me grow as a teacher. Below I have linked a student profile for each student as well as part of their IEP.  Each IEP at a glance is a little different based on who their case manager is.  If you have any questions about a student please let me know and I would be happy to expand.

Crew: Kindergarten male, profoundly Deaf
Henry: 2nd grade male, Auditory Neuropathy (Focus student for upcoming video observations)
Ryan: 6th grade male, Profoundly Deaf
Madison: 11th grade female, left ear hearing loss
Avery: 12th grade male, left ear hearing loss

TE lll: Post 1-Schedule & Role

Attached is my current schedule.  This schedule is subject to change for multiple reasons.  We are in the process of hiring a part time interpreter as well as working on fitting in preps.  Currently I am in a dual role of part time interpreter and part time DHH teacher.  All the needs of the students on my caseload are more than myself and a future part time interpreter can fit into a day, so I do the best I can with the time I have in a day.  As an interpreter I am working with 1 student (currently in the afternoon).  This student is still getting use to sign language and using an interpreter.  As a DHH teacher I am working with 5 students ranging from Kindergarten to a Senior all with a variety of hearing losses.  In this role I am working on things such as advocacy, reading comprehension, spelling, studying tips and learning sign language.  Throughout the year I know that I will be teaching new things, refreshing students on old things as well as sharing in challenges and successes with my students.  On my calendar you will notice each student has a color as too when I see them.  There is one student who is not on the schedule because I only see them on a monthly basis for 30 minutes and I am still working with the student to figure out the best time because of a medical conflict.
